An allergy is present whenever the immune system reacts to a commonly encountered, normally harmless substance, (the allergen) as if it were a threat to the body, and then triggers an immune response for protection.  This reaction is actually abnormal and unnecessary, as the body is not under attack and this reaction does not occur in non-allergic people. Air purifiers are very effective at removing airborne allergens from air in the home and are extremely important for asthmatics to prevent attacks due to allergen exposure. Airgle air purifiers are widely considered the best, and most effective, air purifiers on the market today.

Allergies to pets and pollen are among the most common types of allergy.  Up to 15% of the population, or some 45 million Americans, are allergic to animals. Remember, the most important thing you can do, and the most effective way to eliminate the effects of pet and pollen allergies is a high quality air purifier.

Childhood allergies can be very different from the allergies of adults. Allergies most commonly occur during childhood or young adulthood and the incidence of allergies in children has significantly increased over the last 20 years.  Asthma, which can be linked to allergies, is one of the most common reasons for the admission of children to hospitals.  Asthma is a very serious condition, which can sometimes even be fatal. Use of a high quality air purifier is essential in reducing development and severity of childhood allergies to airborne allergens.

Pollen allergy, also known as hay fever, is a very common seasonal allergy. Pollen is produced by all flowering plants, and is microscopic airborne cells which are essential for plant reproduction.  It is produced seasonally, generally during the spring and summer. Reducing exposure to pollen allergens is therefore a very important part of treating seasonal allergies
